As with "The Lion Killer" purchased the Kindle edition based on the excellent reviews. Storyline disjointed (as it was with "The Lion Killer"), badly written and not at all compelling or exciting. Again had the edition ever been proofread since grammar and spelling errors abounded. Once more this Kindle version was badly formatted and there were question marks all over the place which had absolutely no relevance. Thoroughly disappointed.Product details

Loved it!
Had a hard time putting this down. Caused me to loose a little bit of sleep, because I had to see what was going to happen next.
Especially good reading if you are interested in Southern Africa and it's history and future. It's a good read. I recommend.
A very realistic sequence of events experienced by exceptionally well designed characters with one of the most wishful happy ending scenarios any normal person would have loved to see.
The story is great. Unfortunately some of the writing is quite childish. However his writing improves as he writes more books - the latter ones are better
My favorite from Mr. Gardner. High suspense and intrigue in the dark continent. Highly recommended for the Africa fiction fan!
I liked The Lion Killer. That is why I bought the follow up - The Zambezi Vandetta.
Perhaps the hard cover book is better, but the Edition is disjointed. There are many places that contain a question mark in the text, and it seems that text is missing.
I read the book through, but it is the sort of book I would only read if I had nothing better on hand.
The story was more about flashbacks mentioned in The Lion Killer - not a new story on a similar theme to its predecessor.
I was very disappointed in it. Having just returned from Africa, I sought out books on Africa, but will not bother reading this one again.
